Vividex Tissue Marking Suites

The Vividex Tissue Marking Suites fully address all tissue marking needs: Vividex for large and medium specimens; and Vividex Point for small specimens. Each suite includes Tissue Marking Medium, Kiosk, Applicators and Mordant.

 

Vividex Tissue Marking Medium includes seven colors that:

  • Adhere to specimen consistently throughout processing, staining, decalcification, frozen section and immunohistochemistry (IHC)
  • Are easily differentiated by hue both microscopically and grossly
  • Dry within 15 seconds after Vividex Mordant is applied
  • Do not migrate on specimen nor penetrate specimen interior; and Do not leach when submerged in formalin

  • Vividex Point Tissue Marking Suite for small specimens (left).

Color Differentiation

Unlike standard pathology inks, the seven colors of Vividex Tissue Marking Medium are easily differentiated, particularly yellow-orange-red (below) and blue-violet-red (below). All colors of Vividex Tissue Marking Medium are durable throughout processing.

Adherence Across Tissue Types
Vividex Tissue Marking Medium adheres to bone, fat, muscle and serosa. Left to right: yellow on bone; orange on muscle; red on fat; blue on muscle; violet on thyroid.

Adherence in Formalin

Vividex Tissue Marking Medium adheres to tissue when submerged in formalin. Shown above: Vividex Tissue Marking Medium produces no leaching (top row); standard pathology inks show extensive leaching (second row). Leaching in formalin risks cross-contamination of color onto tissue and interference with laboratory equipment. All specimens in photo are shown 24 hours after submersion in formalin.

The Vividex Tissue Marking Suite includes Vividex Tissue Marking Medium, the Vividex Kiosk, Vividex Large Applicators and Vividex Mordant.

The highly viscous Vividex Tissue Marking Medium adheres where applied without running, dripping or pooling; shown here with the unique Vividex Large Applicator.

The Vividex Point Tissue Marking Suite includes Vividex Point Tissue Marking Medium, the Vividex Point Kiosk, Vividex Point Precision Applicators and Vividex Point Mordant.

Vividex Mordant further enhances adherence of Vividex Tissue Marking Medium to tissue.

Vividex Point Kiosk holds seven 9 mL bottles with cap storage and applicator receptacles for space optimization.

The Vividex Kiosk’s unique design allows space-saving, easy access to the seven colors of Vividex Tissue Marking Medium.

Vividex Large Applicators feature an ergonomic handle with sponge tip engineered to optimally absorb and release medium for fast, accurate tissue marking.

Vividex Kiosk holds seven 50 mL bottles and securely attaches to horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces for easy, spill-resistant access and space optimization.
